Hear Greta Van Susteren's uncut interview with Sarah Palin's Pentecostal ex-pastor. -- Off topic for a minute, but he'd be a good Steve Carrel stand-in.-- At 2:45 Greta asks him about his vote in November; he circumvents it. Hmmm ... And he kinda toots his own horn every chance he gets. What a character!
Do take a listen to Greta's interview with Sarah's current pastor, too. He leads the community non-denominational church. He says it's independent from any other denominations or churches. When asked whether they speak in tongues (trying distinguish this church from the Pentecostal church), he says, "we don't seek it; we don't forbid it. It's really not a phenomena you'll see when you come in one of our services." She asks for clarification - it's independent of thought and ecclectic? He affirms.
The pastor admits his parishioners run the gammut from pro-life to pro-choice, but the church does not have any pro-life programs it endorses. So. How does Sarah Palin fit into the Bible Belt? Will the ultra-conservative believers from the Southern Baptist and Presbyterian realms feel a vast denominational divide from her? Check out the clip from about 5:15 as the pastor discloses his reason for endorsing a Focus on the Family-sponsored seminar in Anchorage regarding homosexuality. It gets interesting. He says of the possible sins, pride is worse than homosexuality.
So what did Greta do with these uncuts videos? See the edits that resulted in the ex-Pentecostal interview and the current pastor interview. They're not spun, just pared down a bit. Nice to get these personal points of view.
